Pairing with Brilliant controller does not work

Hello, I am using the Home Assistant diyHue add-on, and have it configured with my Home Assistant lights. I can find the bridge in my Hue app, pair it, and see and control the HA lights perfectly fine. My ultimate goal is to control these lights with my Brilliant controller, which has a Hue integration. But, when I try to set up the integration, I get to the point where the Brilliant controller wants me to “push the button on the bridge”, I do that in the webUI just like I did to pair with the Hue app, but nothing happens; the Brilliant controller just keeps waiting. I can pair a physical Hue bridge with Brilliant just fine, but not diyHue.

Does anyone have this working or know if it should work?

Are there any errors in the logs?

In the webui do you see a new user added in the user page?

Can you share the debug tar from the webui?

What is the model of controler you have?

I don’t see any errors in the log.

I do see users in the webui. There are three: one called “WebUi” and two called “Echo”.

I have the debug tar. How do I share it? The upload dialog doesn’t support the file type.

The controller is the Brilliant Smart Home Control (2-switch panel).

You can pak the tar in a zip and upload it that way.

I have been working on some changes, including making a zip instead of a tar.

Im also working on implementing a v2api response test with an external package.

But that will come later.

I think there is a v2api response problem, there is some with HA.

Are you able to run python on youre machine?

Because then you can run this test local.

Also if you want we can chat via Slack for faster communication, you can find the slack link in the diyhue webui in about.

I can join slack, but I’m unfamiliar with it. I got the message: “It looks like there isn’t an account on diyHue tied to this email address.” when I tried to sign in using the link from the webui. Do I need to be invited?

You need to have an account on Slack, the link is the invitation.

But if you are unfamiliar with running custom python code then its better to wait a few days till i push a new version.
