I have a philips tv with ambilight on two sides. I added the top of the tv with an diyhue esp controller and some led strips.
This works well but I would now like to add a few more (zigbee) lamps around the TV.
Does it currently work to sync mqtt lights (via z2m) or home assistant lights with the entertainment mode? Or is the self made strip still the only way to go?
I couldn’t find anything regarding this in the docs.
Entertainment function works best with esp8266, esp32 controllers (our firmware, wled or esphome). Zigbee lights connected to zigbee2mqtt or homeassistant must work but they will have a latency that wifi lights don’t have.
If you don’t mind me asking, how did you got it working? Are you using the sync box?
