Sorry, this is probably a very stupid question, but once I’ve found my Hue bridge on the app, it just gets stuck on connecting. Any ideas why? All help is very much appreciated!

Did you press the “link button” on the bridge?
Make sure to use the beta branch if you want to use the latest Hue App.
Note: Beta Branch is still in development
