Multiple gradient strip firmware options

There appear to be multiple firmware options for ESP8266/WS2812-based gradient strips: “Gradient_TV_Strip_WS2812”, “Hue_Gradient_Lightstrip_WS2812”, and “Hue_Signe_Gradient”. What is the difference between them?
